Request Information

"Since 1996 we have received the same level of service from Biometrix...Excellent! Whether it is a request for same day calibration at the lab or in-house, I know customer satisfaction is a top priority. I like the fact that I can relax and know my calibration needs are being handled by a professional, knowledgeable staff. Kudos for a job well done, every time!"

- Calibration Manager for manufacturing facility

An Example of the Calibration Process
During the course of a typical thermometer calibration, the technician will:

  • Observe the thermometer to determine critical information and parameters, such as operating range, tolerance, manufacturer, model, and serial number.
  • Determine appropriate test points at 10, 50, and 90% of the instrument operating range.
  • Adjust a NIST traceable metrology well or oil bath calibration standard to accurately maintain temperature at the first test point
  • Insert the thermometer into the metrology well or oil bath calibration standard
  • Allow several minutes for the thermometer to equilibrate with the standard and stabilize at the established temperature.
  • Immediately record the temperature reading on the thermometer and the temperature reading on the calibration standard.
  • Immediately record the deviation between the calibration standard and the thermometer
  • Repeat process for remaining temperature test points
  • Finalize the calibration certificate and notify the customer of any performance deviations.
